artcritical.com: "Sitting still on the brink of Sandy: Nick Miller paints a portrait", David Cohen, 30th Oct 2012.
A portrait project at Point B, Brooklyn, New York Oct/Nov 2012 Each day over a 2 month residency Nick Miller invited people to sit in his Brooklyn studio: artists, writers, collectors, critics, friends, strangers, whoever could be found for that day by arrangement or chance. During each 3 hour sitting he made a watercolour as a gift for the sitter and then an oils of varying sizes. Each work was finished during the sitting. The project is part of an ongoing exploration of 'meeting' through painting.
