TREE HOUSE 360˚

Working from a temporary studio on a Tree house platform at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in New England USA, this work made over eight weeks in the fall of 2009. It is a 360 degree portrait of the woods from the tree house. The main work is 27 panels Casein paint on Arches 300lb paper archivally mounted on Aluminum composite.

Barbara Novak in conversation with Nick Miller and Brian O'Doherty. Sunday 10th July 2011 at 5pm at the Concord Arts Association. Programmed for the 70th Anniversary of The Thoreau Society Annual Gathering, 2011: “Henry David Thoreau’s Environmental Ethos: Then and Now”. Supported by Imagine Ireland is a year-long season of Irish arts in America in 2011, an initiative of Culture Ireland, with funding from the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

Dublin Showing included a public talk with Nicholas Fox Weber, Director of the Josef and Annis Albers Foundation. In CAA concord, the Thoreau society hosted a public interview with Nick Miller and art historian Barbara Novak, chaired by artist Brian O’Doherty
