PORTRAIT TO STILL - LIFE
Paintings from the 1990’s and then recent work that merge the genres of Portrait, Still Life and Interior. The first bodies of work marking the full transition to Millers on-going ‘direct-encounter’ based painting practice, working in front of the subject. The include cut nature brought into the studio, as well as postcards and Polaroids as object stand ins for the human form.
